Barefoot Zumba

Colorful flyer for Barefoot Zumba with dancing silhouettes and joyful text.

Thursdays  5:30-6:30

In honor of my passion for somatic awareness and the space at Many Waters, I am offering this class as Barefoot Zumba, which starts with some grounding and body awareness such as breathwork and body scanning before we embark into 45 minutes of joyful, party-time movement. Zumba is a latin-inspired dance workout, where moves repeat so students can focus on keeping their bodies moving instead of focusing too much on choreography. This class is for all fitness levels and all dance levels, including those with no dance experience. The goal is to move your body and have fun. Just that.

A monthly intentional movement journey

Medicine Dance is a space to come home to your body through movement, music, and presence.

Inspired loosely by ecstatic dance, this practice is less about performance or release-for-release’s sake, and more about listening — to the body, the breath, and the subtle energy that moves through us when we allow ourselves to move freely.

This is an alcohol- and drug-free container, held with the same intention as a yoga class. There is no choreography and no instruction on how to move. Instead, participants are invited into an hour of uninterrupted, free movement guided by music — an offering, a meditation in motion, a way to integrate what lives inside us.

Medicine Dance is not a social dance floor or a “meat market” environment. Conversation is saved for before and after the session, allowing the hour itself to remain inward, grounded, and focused. All bodies, all movement styles, and all levels of experience are welcome.

Come as you are. Move as you feel. Rest when you need.
This is a practice of connection — to yourself, to rhythm, and to the quiet intelligence of the body.

'Begin Again' Gentle Yoga

Tuesday evenings  5:30-6:45pm

"Yin yoga is a practice of patience, surrender, and self-love. This all-levels class is set to soft, calming music. We use many cushions and props in combination with longer holds which allows students to find deeper levels of flexibility, awareness, and peace. The goal of Yin is not to give it your all, but to find comfort and gratitude regardless of what shape your body is in, we're not forcing ourselves into a stretch that has to look a certain way, we're relaxing into shapes. Come chill out, relax, and rejuvenate with this gentle yoga class."
